Satellite Programs through Mountain Plains Distance Learning
Network (MPDLN)
|
|
MPDLN is a compressed digital satellite network. Members of the Network are member
constituents of MPHC. It provides live education via satellite
for health care providers. |
 |
This education, tailored to rural audiences, is
designed in response to members' needs. It is targeted to multiple health care
disciplines and mandatory requirements. The physical network is managed by MTI Telecom
Systems, Mitchell, S.D., which is the satellite uplink site. A minimum of four hours of
continuing education per week is available, and members may interact with the faculty
through an 800 number. Video-taping for in-house use is encouraged.
A Masters' of Science in Administrative Studies (MSAS) graduate
degree is available from the University of South Dakota through the MPDLN. For
information on this program check out the MSAS web site - www.usd.edu/msas or e-mail the program - msas@usd.edu
