Basic Supervisory Course

Course Overview

Management is never easy, yet with the right tools, it can be fun and rewarding.  Today's manager needs a combination of diverse technical skills, great people skills, and common sense.  The week is composed of lecture, group activities, group discussions, role playing and hands-on experiences.

 

Target Audience

This course is primarily for supervisors with less than three years experience or for those supervisors that would like a refresher on the foundation of great leadership.

 

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this course participants will be able to:

  • articulate the role of the supervisor
  • understand their role and the new requirements as relates to OSHA requirements
  • define great customer service
  • describe ways to improve morale
  • provide meaningful evaluations
  • describe ways to develop great teams
  • effectively confront the negative behaviors employees demonstrate
  • describe how quality effects productivity, as well as, employee and customer satisfaction
